It is approached the bench accepting to train the Cinisi, one team of amateurs of a country to the periphery of Palermo.

He train also Bacigalupo, Carini, Missilmeri and Esacalza.

In 1974 thanks to the participation of the uncle enter in the Juvenile ones of Palermo that he trains until 1983. In the meantime he is enrolled to Supercorso di Coverciano (1978) where he obtains patent of trainer of First Category in 1979. In 1983 the president of the Licata, Giuseppe Alabisio, decides to assume the Boemo technician after to have seen the foaming game practiced from the team from him trained. Zdenek accept the assignment and begins therefore his scaling to the success.

Twelfth in round D of C 2 series the first year, the successive year obtains the promotion. Extraordinary his score:
in 34 match he obtained 15 victories, 14 ties and only 5 defeats; 58 goals realized against the 30 suffered.

In championship 1985/86 he saved himself he is placed to the twelfth place of round B of C 1 series.

In 1986 the Casillo's brothers assume like adviser of the Foggia Giuseppe Pavone, that, fascinated from the revolutionary methods of the Boemo, advises him for the Foggia's bench.

He trains the Foggia in 1986/87 in the championship of C1 but he is released in the twentyseventh day because, according to the Casillo president, he already has been come to an agreement with the Parma.

He is moved in the Parma's club, that year in B series, but his experience last only seven days. But his exoneration does not happen before the elimination of the Milan from the Italy's Cup.

Recalled in Sicily in 1988 he trains in B series the Messina, where conquest the eighth place and discovers the future champion of the Roman's Nights  of the summer of 1990: Totò Schillaci, top scorerof the B series with 23 goals.

The Foggia promoted in B series, repents turning him out, recalls him in 1989: it is born therefore the " Foggia of the miracles " with the Casillo president, the sport director Pavone and the coach Zeman.

They acquire Manicone from Palermo, Nunziata from the Pavia, Rambaudi from the Perugia and Signori from the Piacenza.

Rediscovered  forward from the Technician, the center halfback Giuseppe Signori repays him marking 14 goals, contributing therefore to the attainment of the eighth place.

But it is the successive year, in championship 1990/91, that after the purchase of Ciccio Baiano the mister with a spectacular soccer entrusted to untouchable the 4-3-3 conquest the yearned promotion in A series. These are the numbers of the triumphal season: 38 games, 51 points, 67 goals, but above all the first place in classifies.

He trains the Foggia's team for 3 years in A series conquering, against every forecast that wanted endured it retreated, a ninth, an eleventh and a ninth place grazing the qualification in Uefa Cup.

We are obliged to him the discovery for the Italian championship of players like already cited Signori and Baiano,  Rambaudi, the Russians Shalimov and Kolivanov, the Rumanian Petrescu, the Argentine Chamot and Padalino who will play for the first time when he was 17 y.o. against Torino.

1994: it is the hour to go to Rome. The president of the Lazio, Sergio Cragnotti, decides to head at the technician in order to carry the Lazio to the " table of the large ones "; after years of soccer's dullness that one is the way of the good hand that according to Cragnotti door in Paradise.

Zdenek finds again in Rome his ward Signori and convinces the President to carry in the Capital also Rambaudi and the Argentine Chamot.

Although the passage to a team with greater ambitions the coach does not change the training systems, the philosophy is always the same one: it is only with the job that can be obtained the result.

The first Lazio of Zeman comes penalized in its result from at least debatable arbitral decisions: it abandons the dreams about championship losing in house with the Juventus remaining in ten for the dubious expulsion of Cravero; exits from the Uefa Cup to Dortmund only at the last minute with a goal of Riedle that perfects in goal a punishment invert who had provoked also the unjustified expulsion of the Argentine Chamot; exits from the Italy's Cup in semiend from the Juventus after a game leads from the first one to the last minute and played for more that an hour in ten men.

In spite of everything the final placings render justice to the job of the Boemo: the Lazio is second in championship, obtaining the best result turned out from the championship of 1974 and catches up for the first time the quarters of end of one European Cup.

The following year he catches up the third place in the championship discovering to the center of the defense Alessandro Nesta, future pearl of Italian soccer.

The detractors of the technician go forward forgetting perhaps that in the crucial part of the season he loses, for one lesion to the ligament of knee, the goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani.

In the Cups the way of the Lazio it is not positive as the previous year: it comes eliminated from the Uefa Cup from the French team of the Lione and from the Inter in the quarters of end of the Italy's Cup.

6 May 1997: the president of the A.S. Roma Franco Sensi convenes Zeman to the Hotel Cicerone and he proposes him the bench of A.S. Roma.

The coach accepts gladly the assignment and he is prepared to face championship 1997/98 that will have to mark throwing again of the Capitolina's compages.

The withdrawal of Kapfenberg in Austria throws the bases for that it will be the beautifulst season of the Roma's team of the last years.

The fans rediscover the joy to go to the stadium having fun sure of being able to face any square with one's head held high with the certainty of being able to win on every field.

He closes the season to the quarter place with the best attack of the A series, regarding therefore the team for the Uefa Cup. The fans although the four lost derbys, than he costs also the elimination from the Italy's Cup, are with the Boemo technician and wait for the successive championship impatiently.

July 1998: the bomb of  doping bursts. The coach speaks about soccer that must exit from the pharmacy and the financial offices, provoking the decomposed reaction of many personages of the set who feel brought themselves up from the declarations of Zeman.

Such declarations will carry him not little problems.....how many games left without rigors during the successive championship!!!!!!!!! The same vice president of the Milan Adriano Galliani to the end of the season will declare that the only team truly damaged from the arbitral decisions has been the A.S.Roma one.

Season 1998/99, in spite of a less competitive rose of the directed contenders, sees the Roma's team to the fifth place, at one point from the quarter and two from the third position that would have guaranteed the income in Champions League. the best attack of the A series is always of Roma and only a scandalous arbitrage denies to the yellowreds the semiend of Uefa Cup. The technician moreover takes himself also the revenge in the derby, winning by 3-3 (fourth goal of Delvecchio inexplicably is cancelled) the goning and by 3-1 that one of return, repaying therefore the unconditioned confidence of the public of Roma.

The definitive performance of a champion like Francesco Totti, the national team for players like Damiano Tommasi, Eusebio Di Francesco, A.C. Zago, the outbreak of Luigi Di Biagio and the rain of goal of Marco Delvecchio that will turn out the best Italian scorer of the seasons is obliged to him.

Maggio 1999: the history between Zdenek Zeman and the A.S. Roma inexplicably ends.

The coach will declare of feeling a lot disappointed, perhaps more than after the exoneration of the Lazio......

6 Ottobre 1999: Zeman is contacted from the presidnt of Fenerbahçe Aziz Yildimir that wants him leader of his team. The coach astonish us as usual: in few minutes Zeman signs a contract of eight month with the Yellowblue team. A new hard and exciting challenge  for Zeman, who cannot be kept away from soccer.

The beginning is a defeat outdoor against Trabzonespor, defeat that the newspapers define "victory in court", in consideration of the  enthusiasm of the team and the fantastic way to play of Zeman, "defeat for the bad umpirage", in consideration of the  shockings manners of the umpire. To follow: a series of games with victories, equalize, some defeat (but however always great beautiful play!); the snoops story that has accompanied the delays of the Turkish derby (for want of the Galatasaray!); any other problem and after three months the resignations.

16 June 2000: Presentation of Zeman to the Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli. The coatch returns in Italy for train the Naples team. The hope is that of make the team coming from the second division (serie B) the past value. But the premises are not so good: the players asked from the Mister arrive few and any to withdrawal of it well by now completed. The period before championship makes glimpse flashes of beautiful play, but is the desire of the players what is missing; many are in fact the players that already from the withdrawal gave signs of impatience. The debut in Italy Cup sees the defeat of the blue team, but the permissions for many of the new players were missing (and after the events we ask if have stayed only a case.). The first game of championship against the Juventus offers us a foamy play and only one magic of Del Piero denies to Naples team of pick up points and above all moral. The outdoor match of Milan against the Inter denounces the scarce competitiveness of the rose for face a championship of first series (serie A), but with the job of the Zeman everything would be possible! However the following games signal us like the true problems from Naples team are other. The results of the field are not so important, what it count are the strange plays that end in society: means exonerates, trust to time, varied interferences, for finish with the strange story of Perugia where, after an equalizes torn from an of the team future revelation of the championship, also thank you to a doubtful rigor in favor of the Perugia's team, the society decides to interrupt the relationship of job with Mister Zeman making anticipate his decisions from a group of fans "very near" to the vertexes of the Naples Society.

2 July 2001: Presentation of Zeman to the Salernitana. Numerous the offers have stayed arrived at to the Mister during the period of "silence" that he continues the exemption from part of the Naples society, but Zdenek has decided to restart to "train" and "teach soccer". Therefore he start again from Salerno his trip in the world of the soccer, from a society that has full trust in his ability, from a group of boys that they feel like to work, to learn and to play.

13 August 2001: First official match for Zeman with Salernitana soccer team. The adventure begins in the best way for the Praga's trainer:Salernitana - Catania 3-0 in Italy Tim Cup and Salernitana - Sampdoria 2-0 in the second league of italian championship. The season go on in a nice way and at the end there were the possibility of the best surprise for Salernitana's supporters: the promotion in the first league. But the final part of the season let the dream go down...with some regret and many doubts. At the end of season Salernitana it's at the sixth place and all the people believes to have thrown the bases for a great championship in the next season.

14 June 2002: After some uncertainties, due to the necessity to know the real strategies of the dirigential staff of Salernitana Zeman has decided to go on with Salernitana. But he still have not signed the contract...

Estate 2002: In spite of some divergenges with the Salernitana about the players, the fields of training and the programs to follow, Zdenek Zeman decides to sign the contract some days before the first match of Italy Tim Cup, being hoped that all the problems can be resolved and that the made promises come maintained.

27 December 2002: The Salernitana decides to interrupt the relationship with Zdenek Zeman. No promises come maintained and the feeling is that this history was already ended before beginning. 

16 June 2003: It's the first day for Zdenek Zeman in Avellino. In this town of the south of Italy, the Trainer will try to teach his wonderful way to play football.

18 July 2003: The withdrawal begins in San Giorgio di Brunico (Bz).........the rest is report.
